Bishop Willimon's perspective on Young Clergy
UMCYoungClergy.com has posted videos on the issue of Young Clergy and Bishop Willimon is featured in the series. Please visit this site and watch all seven video clips!
As a layman, 81 years old, I can see the excitement and anticipation in the persona of clergy when he or she is first appointed to a church. This is what I have felt on the introduction to a new pastor. It is my prayer that this excitement and anticipation shall never leave either me or them. I feel that Jesus would have us rejoice in each other as we reflect Him in our lives. It will matter little whether the new clergy is on his or her first appointment or the sixth or seventh. There is this excitement that helps keep the church alive and with God's grace to grow.
Thank you for sharing.
